Shipping Information and Return Policy
Processing Time
Orders placed before 1pm Eastern Time are processed and shipped the same business day. You can always expect superior processing and on-time delivery from your friends at Zhi.
Flat-rate Shipping
Zhi Tea Flat Rate shipping is $4.95 to anywhere in the US - via trackable, insured, Fedex Ground/Home Delivery. Shipping upgrades (Next Day, 2nd Day, 3-Day Supersaver) are calculated based on weight and distance.
Exceptions: Orders placed to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO, and PO boxes must ship USPS Priority and will accrue a $3.00 surcharge above the Flat Rate or the $75 or more Free Shipping costs.
Also, TEA CLUB Subscriptions have the shipping cost built into them. As all of these clubs are over $75.00, the system will show no shipping cost. However, we built a discounted shipping cost into the price of the clubs.
Free Shipping
Orders of $75 or more addressed to a physical location (sorry, no PO Boxes) within the contiguous United States qualify for free Ground shipping.
International Shipping
International shipments are also calculated on weight and distance and shipped via Fedex International Air.
SmartShip.NET™ - chose your delivery date
SmartShip.NET™ is a user-friendly, calendar-based feature at Zhi that allows you to preview and choose delivery options based on available delivery dates. Only logical delivery dates, (excluding Sundays, holidays, past dates, etc.), are offered in the SmartShip Calendar. SmartShip automatically calculates your available delivery-date options based on the time and date of your order and your delivery location. It then displays the shipping cost and shipment method for each available delivery date.
The earliest "standard ship" date is automatically chosen for you unless you select another date. Faster delivery options will be offered to you as well, but at a higher price. You may also choose a “delayed” delivery date in the SmartShip Calendar. For example, you could ask for a delivery date several days, or even several weeks, after the date of your order, with no additional fee.
Please note that deliveries can on rare occasions be delayed due to weather and other circumstances beyond our control. While we and our transportation partners will make every effort to deliver your order on the chosen date, delivery date selections cannot be 100% guaranteed.
Shipment Transit Times and Arrival Dates
Shipments from Austin, TX, to US recipients range from 1-3 days in most cases. By accessing the FedEx database directly, our SmartShip calendar, located on the Shopping Cart page, allows you to choose the exact arrival date you desire for your shipment. Only “logical” arrival dates are offered in the SmartShip calendar, and your choices are accurately and reliably fulfilled. In rare cases, depending on the recipient zip/postal code, time of year, weather and other factors, FedEx may attempt to deliver your package one day early or one day late, but this is very uncommon.

Shipment Confirmation We will send a confirmation email notice to the billing party’s email address as soon as your order ships. A tracking number will be provided for all FedEx shipments. Additionally, you may track your FedEx shipments anytime simply by clicking on the FedEx logo in the bottom-right corner of our website. Orders of 32 or more cases shipped via common carrier freight cannot be tracked due to shipper limitations.

Zhi Tea wants you to be ecstatic about your total experience with us and our products. As such we offer a 30 day refund or exchange on all products save for tea samples if you are not happy for any reason.
If the problem was our mistake we will happily refund shipping.
We would like to encourage you to always try a sample size before making a larger purchase!
To return an item within 30 days of purchase, simply indicate the reason for your return on your invoice, include it with your return and wrap the package securely. For your protection, we recommend that you use Fedex or Insured USPS Parcel Post.
If you do not have your invoice copy, please indicate your name, address, order number and reason for the return on a separate piece of paper.
