Our jasmine green loose leaf tea was chosen for its well-balanced flavors, long sweet finish, and clarity. Jasmine blossoms are folded into the drying leaves several times to impart their delicate scent.

Good for multiple steeps.

Jasmine flowers are picked early in the day when the small petals are tightly closed. The flowers are kept cool until nightfall.

In the early evening when the flowers begin to open, The green tea is blended with the jasmine flowers and stored overnight. The night blooming jasmine flower then opens and releases their fragrance into the tea.

It takes four or more hours for the tea to absorb the fragrance and flavor of the Jasmine blossoms, this process may be repeated for as many as six or seven times.

A slightly more subtle jasmine essence which does not overpower the depth of the high quality green tea. This balance creates a round yet assertive cup full of the intoxicating scent of jasmine with the richness of the full leaf green.

Mild, easy to drink, and full flavored. Can be resteeped.

2.0 oz Pouch $9.95 - 30 servings 33¢ per cup | 4.9 oz Tin $23.95 - 84 servings 29¢ per cup

Mild Jasmine tea. I received a free sample of this tea. I've tried Jasmine teas in the past but have yet to find one that doesn't have more jasmine than I care for. This was more mild than others I've tried and was what I'd expect from Zhit tea.

I really enjoy this version of jamine green. While I do appreciate the fact that it is organic, what i really like is the balance of flavor. Some jasmine teas are too flowery. I want to taste the tea. This one from Zhi captures very well the essence of jasmine and the tea base is quite nice. I do a two minute steep like it says on the can and get a perfect steep every time. Delicious every day tea for me.

Thankyou for the tin of great tea! Gorgeously packaged in an airtight container with a cool label. Emboossed! No way! And the tea is very good, too. :-)

Good tea. Great with dinner. Jeffrey pointed out you can sometimes see tiny bug bites on truly organic teas.

Have to make a short steep of this to avoide astringency, but when I do, it is very, very good.

A bit to bitter for me, needed to add sugar.

I thought I would try a loose leaf version of my favorite store bought tea. Happily, this blows away my old favorite. I don't think I can go back to the tea bag version again. Thank you for opening up my tea horizons!

One of the better jazzy greens on the market. Fresh and flavorful.

Water: 185°F | Leaves: 1 tsp per 6 ounce cup | Infusion Time: 2-3 minutes

Basic Steeping Tips
-Avoid oversteeping. Two minutes is often enough.
- Use filtered or spring water, whenever possible
- Don’t over-boil water
- Remove leaves after recommended time (adjust to taste)
- If you want stronger tea, use more leaves instead of steeping for a longer time
Leaves can be re-steeped 2-3 times resulting in various flavor differences. Don’t throw out those leaves until they have given it all up!
Green tea has been researched a great deal over the last 20 years. Results indicate that the catechins in green tea are responsible for a lowered risk of heart disease, lowered risk of cancer (especially prostate and breast), and potential reduction in onset of Alzeheimer's.
The history of Jasmine Green Tea goes way back to the third century, when the Persians brought the jasmine plant to China. However, it was only during the Song Dynasty (960-1270AD) that Jasmine Tea came into existence. It was not the tea itself that spread across the nation, but the medical properties of jasmine. It was commonly seen as a medicine used to cure various diseases and solve health problems in China. It has now become the most popular scented tea in the world.

Jasmine tea is made from green tea leaves that are scented with jasmine flowers. The flowers are grown at high elevations in mountainous Fujian Province in China. They are harvested in the spring and stored until early summer when the flowers are in bloom. The jasmine flowers are picked during the day and stored in a cool place until nightfall. After the flowers bloom at night, they are layered over the green tea leaves for four or more hours. This scenting process may repeat numerous times to allow the tea leaves to fully absorb the fragrance the tea leaves.
